On 28 October 2020, the President of the Republic decided to take measures to reduce contacts and travel across the entire metropolitan territory to the strictest minimum. The department of Haute-Corse is therefore subject to lockdown measures from 30 October to 1 December at the earliest.
All the information can be found on the Government website or by calling the 0 800 130 000 (Free call, 24/7) In addition to this national number, the prefecture of Haute-Corse activated a public information cell (PIC), to inform the department's population about the terms of the lockdown.

Wearing of a mask

Wearing a mask is mandatory for individuals aged eleven and over in all public spaces in the towns and villages of the Haute-Corse department: Order of 30 October 2020. Travel is prohibited except in the following cases and with an attestation only for:
  • Travel between home and the place of professional activity or universities (or higher education institutions) for students or adult training centres, and business travel that cannot be postponed;
  • Journeys to purchase supplies necessary for professional activity, essential purchases from businesses that remain authorised (list below), and home deliveries;
  • Consultations and care that cannot be provided remotely and cannot be postponed, and the purchase of medicines;
  • Travel for compelling family reasons, to assist vulnerable and precarious individuals, or for childcare;
  • The travel of people with disabilities and their carer;
  • Short trips, within the limit of one hour per day and within a maximum radius of one kilometre from home, linked either to the individual physical activity of individuals, excluding any group sports practice and any proximity to other people, or to walks with only those people living in the same household, or to the needs of pets;
  • Court or administrative summonses and appointments at a public service;
  • Participation in missions of general interest upon request of the administrative authority.
