As part of the campaign Mediterranean Eco-Actions, the hosts of CPIE Bastia carrying out interventions at the port to raise awareness among boaters about good environmental practices.

Mediterranean Eco-Actions contributes to the dissemination of messages related to the management of the environment and its uses. Furthermore, the collection of data on the habits of boaters enriches the understanding of practices.
In Corsica, the campaign benefits from the support of the DIRMM, the AFB, the OEC and the DREAL of Corsica.
 

Below is the list of best practices to follow for better management of our environment:

– Protect seagrass, by dropping anchor in the clear areas to moor. Download the app Donia to know the seabed and avoid anchoring in seagrass beds.

Report any unusual species to the local networks Au Corsican Alien Network  Do not encourage their dissemination by transport or uprooting.
– Before setting sail, Choose products with minimal packaging. Take your waste back home and use the recycling points.♻️
Choose cleaning products of plant origin or eco-labelled.
Emptying black and grey water tanks at the harbour in the maintenance area.
Limit water consumption for rinsing the boat and use a flow reducer. ⚠️
Have your engine regularly serviced and overhauled by a professional
