Fully renovated in 2016 with an investment of €930,000 excl. VAT, the station is brand new and can accommodate units up to 40m with its 60m of quay in total. It is located at the entrance to the port of Saint-Florent.

The refuelling station at the port of Saint-Florent is operated under a public service concession and is managed by a private provider, the company ORSINI.

Improvements made

• The platform has been raised To facilitate moorings, all tanks and piping have been changed and the storage volume increased; the station now has 3 days' autonomy with a storage capacity of 140,000 L.
• The tanks are equipped with a water detection system with an alert, there is no risk of finding water in the fuel; they are also double-hulled, as is the pipework, for added safety.
• Access to the station is also secured with the installation of safety barriers.
• For people's safety, Fire extinguishers have been installed and reels have been placed on all pump hoses. to avoid accidents.
• The station is also to the latest environmental standards, indeed, the refuelling station (just like the port) has anti-pollution barrage which can be rapidly deployed in the event of confirmed pollution, as well as absorbent pads for minor pollution incidents.
• The number of distributors has been increased., today one finds:
  • 4 petrol dispensers, 1 of which is under customs duty = duty-free
  • 6 diesel dispensers, 2 of which are bonded = tax-free
• The flow rate of the pumps has been multiplied by 2, they can pump 200L/minute.

Opening hours and services

The resort is open non-stop from 8 am to 8 pm during peak season., Three employees (plus station manager Mr. ORSINI) take turns throughout the season to provide the best service to boaters.
If there are special requests for large quantities, Supplies are delivered within 24 hours, and it is possible to make an appointment directly with station staff on (+33) 07 60 04 00 53.
She stays open all year, onwards and outside of the main season it is open at the same times as the harbour master's office, then during the low season you just need to phone 07 60 04 00 53 to make an appointment.

ANAPNEA Network«

The Saint-Florent refueling station is part of the «ANAPNEA» network; only 3 stations in Corsica are part of this network.
« ANAPNEA » is a Biological additive that reduces diesel engine consumption and prevents water from accumulating at the bottom of tanks.
This additive standardise the quality of the diesel fuel over the entire height of the tank and avoids bacteria in the filters.

Renovation review

The station was able, thanks to the renovations, to meet the growing increase of leisure boaters in the harbour for both annual and seasonal leisure boating.
In season, the volume consumed amounts to approximately 40,000L per day.

The feedback has been positive, particularly regarding the raised platform which facilitates access and prevents submersion during heavy swells.
