This Monday, 7 June, the last session of the 2021 Water Safety Days in Corsica, organised by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation took place in Saint-Florent.
During the morning, the CE2 and CM2 children from Saint-Florent school took part with great enthusiasm in beach workshops, stepping into the shoes of a sea rescuer.
Mentored by Stéphanie Geyer Barneix and a team of professional athletes: Emmanuelle Bescheron, Stéphanie Braise Fernandez, Kevin Crovetto, Jérôme Fernandez, Alexandra Lux, Gauthier Philaire, and with the expertise of the National Sea Rescue Society (SNSM) and the firefighters of Haute-Corse, the workshops varied:
- First aid,
- Drowning prevention,
- Tube rescue,
- Water park,
- Surveillance & intervention.
