Improvements made
- The quay has been raised to facilitate moorings, all tanks and piping have been changed and storage capacity has been increased, the station now has 3 days of autonomy with a storage capacity of 140,000 L.
- The tanks are equipped with a water detection system with an alert, so there's no risk of finding water in the fuel. They also have double hulls, as does the piping, for added safety.
- Access to the station is also secured with the installation of security barriers.
- For people's safety, fire extinguishers have been installed and reels have been placed on all pump hoses to prevent accidents.
- The station also meets the latest environmental standards; indeed, the refuelling station (like the port) has anti-pollution booms that can be rapidly deployed in the event of a confirmed pollution incident, as well as absorbent sheets for minor pollution.
- The number of dispensers has been increased, there are now: 4 petrol dispensers, including 1 duty-free = tax-free 6 diesel dispensers, including 2 duty-free = tax-free
- The pump flow rate has been doubled, they can deliver 200L per minute.
The services
The station is open during high season from 8 am to 8 pm non-stop. Three employees (plus the station manager, Mr. ORSINI) take turns throughout the season to provide the best service to boaters.
If there are special requests for large quantities, supply is made within 24 hours and it is possible to make an appointment directly with station staff at +33 (0)7 60 04 00 53.
It remains open all year round. In the high and low seasons it is open at the same times as the marina office, and in the off-season you just need to call +33 (0)7 60 04 00 53 to make an appointment.
ANAPNEA Network«
The Saint-Florent refueling station is part of the «ANAPNEA» network; only 3 stations in Corsica are part of this network.
« ANAPNEA » is a biological additive that reduces the fuel consumption of diesel engines and prevents water from accumulating at the bottom of tanks.
This additive evens out the quality of the diesel throughout the entire tank and prevents bacteria from accumulating in the filters.
Renovation review
Thanks to the renovations, the station has been able to meet the growing increase in pleasure boaters in the port, for both annual and seasonal leisure boating.
In season, the volume consumed amounts to approximately 40,000 L per day.
The feedback has been positive, particularly regarding the raised platform which facilitates access and prevents submersion during heavy swells.
