This Saturday, August 31st, saw the magnificent Corsica Classic sailing boats arrive in Saint-Florent. For its 10th anniversary, Saint-Florent was the final stop of this classic yacht regatta, with a race in the Gulf of Saint-Florent on Sunday, September 1st. A look back in pictures at this event focused on environmental protection.
Saturday 31 August 2019:
- 16:30 setting up stalls for better environmental management and preparation of the buffet offered by the municipality, on the honour quay. Many visitors came to question the teams of Cap Corse and Agriate Marine Park, from the countryside Mediterranean Eco-Actions and network Alien Corset, of Corsican Blue Project and Water Family.
- During the last 3 days of the Corsica Classic, à the Saint-Florent port initiative, the associations Corsican Blue Project and Waterfamily the group carried out an anti-pollution mission using a trawl net loaned by the association Ocean plastic.

- 18:30 Arrival of the first sailing boats at the honour quay ??
- 21:30 The honour quay is full with the arrival of the last two sailboats, Hygie and Telstar ??
Sunday 1st September 2019:
- 10:00 Briefing on the quay before the start of the regatta in the Gulf of Saint-Florent. The participants of Pink Regattas are also welcome on each boat for a moment of relaxation, thanks to the association Breast Cancer SOS ??
- 11:00 AM Departure from port for the first sailboats ??
- 12:00 Regatta start in the Gulf of Saint-Florent ??
- 19:00 All participants in the regatta and volunteers are invited to attend the buffet offered by the municipality, all accompanied by music from a group of Corsican singers. Then, the results will be announced and prizes awarded before the meal on the citadel esplanade. ??
