At a time when raising awareness and taking action for Earth's water reserves is more urgent than ever, the Corsica Classic is implementing sea waste collection operations during the regatta in partnership with Corsican Blue Project – Water Familly – Océanoplastic and the Port of Saint-Florent.
At the initiative of the Saint-Florent municipality, a Anti-pollution greetings lent by Ocean plastic established by the association Corsican Blue Project in order to to clean up the Mediterranean and raise public awareness of the phenomenon Saint-Florent port, will be used during the race.
Will this Mediterranean cleaning operation be carried out? between Bastia, Macinaggio and Saint-Florent, off the coast of the Cap Corse marine park and the Agriate.
A stand will be set up to raise awareness in the afternoon on the Port of Saint-Florent to better explain the stakes to the general public.
All data collected during the race will be transmitted to the Marine Park to optimise their studies.
