Visits, thematic workshops, and a lot of fieldwork during these three days of training. This certification is the first and only environmental management initiative specific to marinas at a European level.

«This shows a strong will on the part of marina managers to make concrete commitments to work towards the preservation of aquatic environments and the sustainable development of coastal and marine activities,» explains Michel Mallaroni, director of the port of Bonifacio, who is heavily involved in this certification process, which is expected to be completed in the very near future. "This sustainable and controlled approach allows us to structure our actions within a precise framework."

«This meeting also provided an opportunity to foster exchanges between the ports regarding ongoing procedures and each other's experiences,» highlights Michel Mallaroni.
