As part of the Écogestes Méditerranée campaign, the animators of CPIE Bastia carry out interventions on the port to sensitize boaters to good environmental practices.
Ecogestes Méditerranée contributes to the dissemination of messages related to the management of the environment and its uses. Moreover, the collection of data on boaters’ habits makes it possible to enrich the knowledge of practices.

Below is a list of good practices to follow for better management of our environment:
- Protect the posidonia, casting anchor on the clear areas to wet. Download the Donia app to learn about the seabed and avoid anchoring in seagrasses.
- Limit fishing to allowable sizes and species.
- Report any species not usual to the local networks to the Alien Corsica Network Do not promote their dissemination by transport or grubbing up.
- Before going to sea, choose products with little packaging. Bring your waste ashore and use the sorting stations.
- Choose maintenance products of vegetable or eco-labelled origin.
- Drain black and grey water collection tanks at the port on the maintenance area.
- Limit water consumption for the flushing of the boat and use a flow reducer.
- Have your engine serviced and overhauled regularly by a professional.
